Bogotá Elegant Adventure Wedding
Guatavita, Cundinamarca, Colombia
Kathryn + Nick traveled to her beautiful hometown of Bogotá, Colombia for their wedding. Their family and friends traveled from all over the US & Colombia to help them celebrate, and after the wedding everyone explored the city together, from Zipaquira to the pueblo village of Guatavita, where we took their creative wedding portraits next to the laguna of Embalse Tomina..
When we arrived at this beautiful lake nestled in the mountain highlands of Colombia, I knew it would be an amazing place for pictures. Luckily Kathryn & Nick where ready to change into the wedding gown and tuxedo, and managed to do so in the back of the tour bus! My friend Christy foraged for local greenery and blossoms and made a dreamy flower crown to complete Kathryn’s ethereal look for our adventurous after wedding session by the lake. She even made a little boutonniere for Nick. I am incredibly grateful for this beautiful bride and groom for flying me all the way from Orlando to Colombia to document their destination wedding, and inviting me along for a week of adventure touring throughout Bogotá. I will never forget this experience, and hope these photos will bring back the magic of this unforgettable event in their lives for the many years to come.
