Cherie Downs Park in Port Canaveral, Florida
When an architect from New York proposes, he doesn’t just buy a random ring. He designs it himself in CAD. He chose rose gold for his arched ring, which had an art deco style that evoked the shape of a compass. He also surprised his lady with a treasure map he designed leading her to the Cocoa Beach pier, coral roses in her favorite color, a ring box designed by her brother, and a coral and turquoise heart-shaped beach quilt that his mom and sister sewed for the occasion. Everything was perfectly planned- but little did we all know the Cocoa Beach pier had other plans for us. Turns out when we arrived at 6am that the beaches were all closed all the way up to Port Canaveral. So we shifted to Cherie Downs park- literally the ends of miles of gigantic metal pipes they were installing into the beach and finally found clear beach for this sweet man who already had enough on his mind! Anyways, everything turned out to be just perfect and his proposal was witnessed by hundreds of seagulls and terns who were watching eagerly nearby. It was such an emotional morning and I am so happy for this newly engaged lovebirds from New York!
